It’s not your job to solve every problem. Your job is to get to clarity fast. Sometimes the smartest move is to buy the solution.

I’ve been working with a founder who is growing like crazy. Clean books, zero financial clarity. Receivables stuck across client portals, contractors to pay, invoices in limbo. Every week brought a new spreadsheet and the same uncertainty.

That’s the 'Opportunity Cost Meter' running at high speed.

Can't have that.

How do you know when it's time to stop tinkering and just pay to have it solved?

When a problem is:

  • recurring
  • high-leverage, and
  • not your craft

In this case, the answer = one accountable person who delivers the same custom reports, same time, on time, every week.

She doesn’t need to figure out the workflow.

She needs the outcome.

And one person to hold accountable for delivering that outcome.

That's understanding the difference in paying with time or paying for outcomes.

It can be yet another mindset shift along the evolutionary path of an entrepreneur.

You Can't Skip a Level, But You Can Level Up Faster

Nobody gets to skip a level.

Every business owner has to meet the challenges.

The only variable is how quickly you move through them.

When owners tell me they’re stuck, it’s almost always a sequence problem, not a talent problem.

Stage 1 is sell or die.

Stage 2 is create demand on purpose.

Stage 3 is stop being the hero and build systems.

Stage 4 is hire leaders who own outcomes.

Stage 5 is when the business becomes an asset that works for you, without you.

Here’s the reframe that frees people up: you’re not failing, but you’re trying to solve the wrong challenge right now.

Trying to drive paid traffic before you have a predictable sales process in place.

Writing SOPs before you know what actually repeats.

Clinging to sales because it feels productive while your leadership muscles atrophy.
