Clarity Isn't Looking For YOU.
You Have to Go Fine It.

Sometimes you’ve got to do what it takes.

For me it was disappearing into the middle of nowhere for two days.

Away from the office. Away from the routine. Away from the noise.

Me, a hotel, flipcharts, and all of the coffee.

Why?

Not because I enjoy being somewhere so remote the only walkable food option is a Cracker Barrel.

(Absolutely not.)

I did it to work on my goals and plan for next year.

Because solitude is what it takes for me to get the clarity I need.

And you have to get clarity right if you want to hit big goals.

Clarity on the goals.

Clarity on the direction.

Clarity on the strategy.

Of course that’s only if you want to do something really well.

The recipe for mediocrity is much looser.

But clarity doesn’t happen by accident.

As Nick Saban says, "It takes what it takes."

Unless you want your business to stay as-is, you need to be extra clear on:

- What needs to change
- What needs to stop
- What needs to start
- And how you need to evolve in to lead the next stage

For me, disappearing for two days is part of my process.
And honestly, I’ll probably be taking two more.

Because the business isn’t going to grow until the leader is clear.

And the leader needs to understand this: getting clear is your job.

If you don’t have a process for getting clarity, you’re defaulting to momentum.

You know that’s not the way.

The way is to be intentional about getting clear on your business direction, goals, and strategy.

It might be difficult.

But it’s that important.

Do what it takes.

Who To Blame? Who to Blame? πŸ‘‰πŸ»πŸ‘ˆπŸ»πŸ‘†πŸ»πŸ‘‡πŸ»

I don't think what happens to us is what shapes our outcomes.

In reality, that part is maybe 1%.

The other 99%?

About 49.5% is how you handle that 1%.

And the other 49.5% is how much you get in your own way.

We all do it.

Avoiding it isn’t the game.

Mitigating it is.

Do it less often.

Recover faster.

And your trajectory changes.

Kind of tough to blame the universe when 99% of the outcome is ours to shape.
